ABOUT
The District
Washington’s 4th Congressional District
The 4th District stretches across Central Washington, including Benton, Douglas, Grant, Klickitat, Okanogan, and Yakima counties while including parts of Adams and Franklin counties. From the Canadian border to the Columbia River Gorge, the district covers some of the most productive agricultural land in the country and communities built on hard work, service, and resilience.
Our Communities
Home to the Tri-Cities (Kennewick, Pasco, Richland), Yakima, East Wenatchee, Moses Lake, Grand Coulee, Omak, Goldendale and White Salmon, plus dozens of smaller towns make this district what it is.
Our Economy
Agriculture drives our district, fruits, hops, wine grapes, and food processing employ thousands. The Hanford Site is one of the largest employers in the region, with critical cleanup work that supports families and protects our environment. Energy production, from hydropower to nuclear and one of the largest renewable-energy hubs in the Pacific Northwest, keeps Central Washington powered with energy to spare.
Our Challenges
Healthcare access, rural hospital closures threaten communities across the district
Water rights, irrigation and agricultural water are existential issues here
Cost of living, housing and grocery costs are squeezing working families
Federal employment, Hanford workers have been directly impacted by DOGE cuts
Immigration, our agricultural economy depends on immigrant labor; policy must reflect that reality
